Registration has officially opened for the 2026 JoySports Invitational Tournament, an annual corporate sporting event expected to bring together businesses from across Ghana for a day of competition, networking and workplace wellness.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon, following the success of the previous edition.
Organisers say this year’s event will provide companies with an opportunity to strengthen teamwork, encourage healthy lifestyles and build professional relationships outside the traditional office environment.
Participating organisations can register by contacting Sleven through WhatsApp or direct phone call on 0242376445. Registration forms are also available at the Joy FM front desk and through MyJoyOnline.
Competition, fitness and networking take centre stage
The event will begin with an aerobics session at 6:00 a.m., allowing participants to prepare physically while promoting team bonding among corporate groups.
Companies will compete across various sporting activities designed to test teamwork, endurance and competitive spirit.
Among the returning attractions is the CEO’s Penalty Shootout, a popular feature of the tournament where business leaders take part in a special football challenge. The event gained attention in 2025 after Denis Adutwum, Chief Executive Officer of The Luckiest Lottery, emerged as winner.
The Jama Contest will also return, giving companies the opportunity to showcase creativity, unity and team support through coordinated performances and chants.
Bigger participation expected
David Max-Fugar, General Manager of Sales and Customer Service at The Multimedia Group, said expectations are high for this year’s tournament, with more companies expected to participate.
He noted that organisers are targeting more than 60 companies across different sporting categories and assured participants of an improved experience.
According to him, the tournament is designed not only for competition but also to create opportunities for businesses to connect, develop relationships and promote employee wellbeing.
