Vanuatu Trade Commission to Canada Celebrates 46th Independence Anniversary, Strengthens Canada–Vanuatu Relations

The Republic of Vanuatu Trade Commission to Canada has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Canadian community following the successful celebration of the 46th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Vanuatu, held on July 30, 2026, at the Commission’s offices in Etobicoke North, Toronto.
The commemorative event brought together government representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, community organizations, local residents and invited guests to celebrate Vanuatu’s independence while reinforcing the growing partnership between Canada and the Pacific island nation.
A Celebration of Friendship and Partnership
Speaking on behalf of the Government and people of Vanuatu, the Office of the Trade Commissioner extended sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
Special recognition was given to the businesses, community organizations and residents of Etobicoke North, whose support and participation reflected Canada’s commitment to multiculturalism, international cooperation and community engagement.
