Sonnie Badu Urges Prophets to Use Wisdom in Delivering Prophecies

Accra, Ghana – April 3, 2025 – Renowned gospel musician and preacher Sonnie Badu has called on both major and minor prophets to exercise wisdom in delivering prophecies, especially those concerning death.
In a social media post, Sonnie Badu emphasized that prophesying someone’s death does not equate to power but rather spreads fear and distress. He urged religious leaders to ensure that their prophecies include redemption, as revelations without hope do not align with God’s message.
“I plead with all prophets, both major and minor, to apply wisdom because the people you mention have family members, and such prophecies bring fear,” he stated. “As you grow, you mature in the things of God.”
His comments come in the wake of recent losses within prophetic circles, where prophets themselves have lost loved ones, highlighting the reality of grief and sorrow.
Message to Ghana’s Vice President

In the same post, Sonnie Badu extended well wishes to Ghana’s Vice President, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.(tagged as @njoageymang). He acknowledged her relentless efforts during the recent campaign period and urged her to take time to rest and recover.
“The truth is, you gave your all during the campaign and have not rested. I am praying for you. Love you loads, Mummy,” he wrote.
Sonnie Badu’s message resonates with many who believe in responsible prophecy and compassion in leadership, calling for wisdom, care, and faith in public and spiritual matters.
