Iran has reportedly presented a new peace proposal to the United States demanding compensation for war-related destruction, the withdrawal of American troops from areas near Iran, and an end to sanctions as part of efforts to ease rising tensions between the two countries. The proposal comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts following months of military confrontation and regional instability.

According to Iranian state media and diplomatic reports, Tehran’s proposal includes demands for reparations linked to destruction caused during the recent conflict involving the United States and Israel. Iranian officials are also reportedly seeking the removal of U.S. military forces from nearby regions, the lifting of economic sanctions, access to frozen Iranian financial assets, and an end to maritime restrictions affecting the country.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi reportedly said the proposal is aimed at ending hostilities across multiple fronts, including tensions linked to Lebanon and broader regional security concerns. Tehran argues that any long-term peace agreement must address both economic and military pressures placed on the country.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has maintained pressure on Iran, warning that military action remains possible if negotiations fail. Speaking at the White House, Trump said the United States could move toward renewed strikes within days if a deal is not reached, while insisting Iran must not develop nuclear weapons.

Trump also claimed he had recently postponed a planned military strike to allow room for diplomacy after receiving signals that Iran was interested in negotiations. He expressed optimism about a possible agreement but warned that Washington was prepared to act if talks collapsed.

The latest proposal reflects continuing efforts by mediators, including regional actors, to avoid a wider Middle East conflict that could further affect oil markets, trade routes, and international security. Analysts say major disagreements remain over Iran’s nuclear programme, military influence, sanctions relief, and regional security arrangements.

Despite diplomatic activity, uncertainty remains high as both sides continue exchanging strong public statements while maintaining pressure through military readiness and economic measures. Observers say the coming days could prove critical in determining whether negotiations move forward or tensions escalate again.
