Canada Launch of the Diaspora Property Expo 2025 Held in Toronto

Toronto, Canada – March 28, 2025 – The Canada launch of the Diaspora Property Expo 2025 took place on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Ghana Consulate in Toronto. The event, themed “Connecting Ghana’s Top Property Developers, Real Estate Agents, and Financial Institutions with the Global Diaspora Community in Canada,” brought together key players in the real estate industry, business leaders, brokers, and media consultants.
The launch follows the USA official launch, which was held at the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, D.C., on January 22, 2025. These events serve as a prelude to the main Property Fair, scheduled for May 23-25, 2025, at the Delta Hotels Toronto Airport and Conference Centre.
Strengthening Ghana-Canada Real Estate Ties
The President of Aim2Impact, Mr. Julius Ossom, highlighted the Expo’s objective—to bridge the gap between Ghana’s booming real estate market and the Diaspora community in Canada, fostering investment and collaboration between the two regions.
Speaking virtually, Ghana’s Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, and the Director for Economic and Trade Promotion at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized Ghana’s rapidly growing real estate sector and the opportunities for strategic partnerships to drive socio-economic development.
In his address, the Consul General of Ghana in Toronto assured participants of the government’s commitment to supporting trade-related investments and emphasized that the private sector remains a key driver of economic growth.
Diaspora Support and Investment Interest

The President of the Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario, Mr. Emmanuel Doudu, pledged the Diaspora community’s support in encouraging investment and youth involvement in Ghana’s real estate sector.
Several prospective investors also shared their experiences, challenges, and aspirations regarding relocation and business expansion in Ghana. These included:
- Mr. Chadrick of Gold-Pill Group
- Captain Tony Lawrence of Air Canada
- Mr. Frimpong of Divine Solutions
- Entrepreneurs in the creative and cuisine industries
Ms. Michelle Minott, a Canadian realtor, shed light on the role of realtors in assisting buyers and outlined investment opportunities in the Ghanaian property market.
Engaging Discussions and Future Outlook
Following a video presentation, an open forum allowed participants to engage real estate experts in discussions about the Ghanaian housing market, investment regulations, and purchasing processes.
The successful Canada launch of the Diaspora Property Expo 2025 set the stage for the upcoming May 2025 Expo, which is expected to boost investor confidence and strengthen Ghana’s real estate sector.
