Government Begins Process to Appoint New Deputy Commissioner

The Government of Ghana has confirmed the retirement of Samuel Tettey, Deputy Commissioner of the Electoral Commission responsible for Corporate Services.
Government Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu disclosed that constitutional procedures have already begun to appoint a replacement.
A nominee has reportedly been submitted to the Council of State for consideration.
“Processes are underway for his replacement, and a nominee is currently under review,” Mr Kwakye Ofosu stated.
Mr Tettey’s retirement adds to ongoing leadership changes within the Electoral Commission following the resignation announcement of Deputy Chairperson Dr Bossman Asare.
