Ntim Fordjour Demands Accountability Over Australia Drug Seizure Linked to Ghana

Assin South Member of Parliament Rev. John Ntim Fordjour has called for answers following the interception of a large consignment of methamphetamine in Australia reportedly traced to Ghana.
The shipment, concealed within a consignment declared as charcoal, contained approximately 320 kilograms of methamphetamine valued at an estimated A$296 million.
Reacting to the development, Rev. Ntim Fordjour stated that the seizure reinforces concerns he had previously raised regarding Ghana’s potential emergence as a transit point for international drug trafficking operations.
The lawmaker called on the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), the Bureau of National Investigations and government communicators to provide explanations to the Ghanaian public.
Australian authorities have reportedly charged three individuals in connection with the operation.
