The Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu, popularly known as Chairman Buga Buga, has dismissed claims that he “snatched” the former wife of Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam.
Speaking publicly on the matter, Alhaji Masawudu clarified that his relationship with his current wife began only after her marriage to Fancy Gadam had legally ended. He said suggestions that he was responsible for the breakdown of the musician’s marriage are false and misleading.
According to him, he met his wife approximately two months before they got married and had no involvement in her previous relationship with the award-winning artiste. He stressed that he respected the institution of marriage and would never interfere in another person’s marital affairs.
The controversy emerged after social media users alleged that the senior NPP official had taken Fancy Gadam’s wife while the couple were still married. However, Alhaji Masawudu insists the claims are baseless and urged the public to disregard what he described as false narratives circulating online.
Fancy Gadam had earlier confirmed that his marriage had ended, stating publicly that he was no longer with his former wife.
