Miracles Aboagye Breaks Silence on Reported Asset Freeze: ‘I Have Not Seen Anything from EOCO’

Former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD), Dennis “Miracles” Aboagye, has publicly responded for the first time to reports that the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has frozen his bank accounts and landed properties, insisting that he has not received any official communication from the anti-graft agency.

His remarks come just days after an Accra High Court granted EOCO an asset preservation order freezing five of his bank accounts and four landed properties as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial and procurement irregularities involving approximately GH¢55 million during his tenure at IMCCoD.

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a leading member of the NPP and former government appointee, has been under investigation by EOCO over alleged financial and procurement-related irregularities said to have occurred while he headed the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation.
