Ghana’s online passport application platform has been restored after technical difficulties disrupted access to the service.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Tuesday, August 25, that its technical team, working with the National Signals Bureau, had resolved the problems affecting the platform.
The Ministry said the passport website was now operational and applicants could once again access passport-related services online.
According to the Ministry, the technical difficulties had temporarily prevented members of the public from using the platform.
The restoration is expected to allow applicants to resume passport-related processes without having to wait for the technical challenges to be resolved.
The Ministry expressed appreciation to the public for its patience and understanding during the period of disruption.
COMMENTARY:
The restoration of the online passport platform should come as relief to applicants who were unable to access the service during the technical disruption, with the Ministry now urging users to resume their online applications.
