Fire Destroys Five Shops in Prestea as GNFS Contains Blaze and Saves Eight Others

A fire outbreak that swept through parts of Prestea in the Western Region has destroyed five shops, leaving affected traders counting their losses, while the timely response of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) prevented the flames from spreading to eight additional shops.

The incident, which caused panic among traders, residents, and passersby, occurred within a commercial area of the mining community, where several businesses were operating at the time of the outbreak.
