FIFA Agent Reveals Why He Advised Libyan Club Against Signing Jordan Ayew

A FIFA-licensed football agent, Nana Kwarteng, has disclosed that Libyan club Al-Swehly initially considered signing Ghana captain Jordan Ayew but he advised the club against pursuing the move.

According to Kwarteng, his recommendation was largely influenced by Ayew’s responsibilities as captain of Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars.

“Al-Swehly initially wanted to sign Jordan Ayew, but I advised against it because he is captain of the Black Stars,” Kwarteng said, as reported by Max TV.

Why the proposed move was reconsidered

Kwarteng’s comments came amid discussions surrounding the future of Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo, who is set to join the Libyan club Al-Swehly.

The agent explained that although Ayew was initially viewed as a potential attacking addition to the Libyan side, he did not believe a move to the Libyan top division would be the best option for the experienced Ghana international.

The development has generated interest because Ayew remains one of Ghana’s most experienced players and currently carries the responsibility of leading the Black Stars.

The comments were also reported by Max TV, which featured an interview with Kwarteng discussing Sibo’s move to Libya and the circumstances surrounding Al-Swehly’s earlier interest in Ayew.

Jordan Ayew’s current club situation

The discussion comes at an important point in Ayew’s career.
