Adwoa Safo Finally Shows up in Parliament Looking all Cute and Trendy

Beleaguered Member of Parliament of the Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Sarah Adwoa Safo, showed up in the Chamber of Parliament on Friday, November 11, 2022 looking all cute and fresh.

The Member of Parliament who has been away from official duty for about a year, was spotted in the House downing a red brazer over tan inner with a blonde hair do with a touch of black spot in the middle parts.

She sat right behind the Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, who has been leading a crusade to get her seat declared vacant for absenting herself without permission for more than 15 sitting days without the express permission from the Speaker, contrary to the Constitution and the Standing Orders of Parliament.

The reception she got from the Leadership bench of her party and some of her colleagues MPs in the NPP upon her return was lukewarm, as compared to the NDC MPs from the opposite side of the aisle.

That is not surprising though, because some Members of her own party had been backing moves canvassed by the Chairman of the Privileges Committee, Joseph Osei Owusu, who had recommended for her to be ousted as an MP after she failed to appear before the Committee to give an explanation for being absent from Parliament.

The MP who has been missing from the House for quite some time, told the media she is happy to be back to represent her constituents.

According to her, as a Member of Parliament, she is committed to her duties but stressed that, “Today is the first day… I hope the subsequent weeks would be good.”

“But it’s good to be back, that’s all I can say,” she said when members of the Parliamentary Press Corps accosted her on her way out of the House to give a few remarks upon her return and how she was received.
