A special ceremony has been held in Canada in honor of Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI, the Paramount Chief of Kome Shime Traditional Area.
The Event which was held on Saturday September 24th, 2022 at the Apostles’ Continuation Hall in Toronto, was organized by the Ghanaian News Canada in collaboration with the Ewe Association of Canada.
Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI is the Miafiaga (Left Wing King) of the Anlo Kingdom, Paramount Chief of Kome Shime Traditional Area, Dufia (Chief) of Whuti Town and Head of the Adzorvia Clan – Owners of Anlo Kingdom Stool.
Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI is the new stool name for Ezekiel Keli Tamakloe, who is a former Edmonton Police Commissioner, a Chief Administrative Officer Consultant in Canada and the former President of The Ghana Friendship Association of Edmonton and former Vice President of the Council for the Advancement of African Canadians (Africa Centre) in Alberta.
He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Sociology major with a diploma in Education.
Togbi has over 25 years advisory and executive experience in local government and business management. He is also the former Vice Chair and Founding Member of the Coalition For Canadian Police Reform (CCPR).
Back in the year 2021 when he was first outdoored as the newly installed chief , the development oriented Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI, called for unity among the chiefs and the people of the Anlo Traditional area to allow for development such as “the dredging of the Keta Lagoon to become the biggest man-made fish pond in the universe” and diversifying agriculture to benefit the teeming unemployed youth.
The 59 year-old Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI is a recipient of several Leadership awards including National Honours award; Achievers of Ghana award; and Lifetime Achievement award.
