Film producer and media personality Socrate Safo has weighed in on the ongoing public discourse surrounding Prophet Badu Kobi’s reported financial difficulties, urging restraint and empathy in public reactions.
His comments follow widespread online commentary after reports emerged that the preacher is facing financial challenges and is allegedly disposing of assets, including church property, to settle obligations.
Safo referenced a Biblical passage to frame his reflection on hardship and timing in human experience.
He quoted: “Pray that your flight will not take place in winter.” Matthew 24 verse 20. KJV
He explained that the verse highlights how difficult circumstances can become even more severe depending on timing, making human struggles more painful than expected.
According to him, society often reacts harshly when public figures experience setbacks, especially those who were once influential or controversial.
He noted that financial or personal decline is not always the result of misconduct or poor planning, but sometimes a natural shift in life circumstances.
He said: “the centre simply cannot hold and things fall apart.”
While clarifying that he is neither a follower nor supporter of Badu Kobi’s ministry, Safo insisted that disagreement with someone’s beliefs should not translate into public ridicule during moments of distress.
He argued that hardship is a universal human experience and can affect anyone regardless of status, wealth, or influence.
He further urged reflection instead of mockery, suggesting that such situations should serve as reminders of human vulnerability.
