Highly rated Ghanaian basketball player Jeremiah Nyarko says his journey from Accra to Arizona State University in the United States has been a good one.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports during his visit to Ghana after recently committing to College Division I basketball for the Sun Devils.
The 6-foot-6-inch Nyarko played with Bronny James (LA Lakers star LeBron James’ son) at Sierra Canyon High School before playing for San Diego University and Western Texas College.
Nyarko recounted his journey in the exclusive conservation saying, “Your talent can take you so far but it’s also about who you know. Some people make some decisions, you can’t understand, you can’t explain it.”
“Honestly, I had to move from there (San Diego) but I went to Juniour College, Western Texas. It’s been a really good journey so I had a lot of schools recruiting me and then ASU was the school I really kind of felt a connection with.”
Nyarko has two years of college eligibility with Arizona State University and is set to join the team later in 2024.
