The visit, undertaken at President Mahama’s invitation, will include bilateral discussions at Jubilee House in Accra.
President Oligui Nguema is expected to arrive with a high-level delegation comprising government ministers, senior officials and members of the Gabonese business community.
The talks are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in areas including trade and investment, mining, energy, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, transport, tourism, education, health, defence and security.
The two leaders are also expected to discuss environmental protection, climate action and broader people-to-people relations.
The Presidency described the visit as an important milestone in the relationship between Ghana and Gabon.
Commentary: The visit is expected to create opportunities for expanded economic cooperation and stronger diplomatic ties between the two West African countries.
